Cart abandonment rate is a statistical measurement that refers to a ratio of the number of shopping carts in total versus the number of completed transactions. It is also referred to as the rate at which visitors initiates the purchase by adding an item to their cart and leaves the site without completing the transaction.
This statistics can help online shop owners to keep a track of abandoned carts and figure out strategies to decrease abandonment and increase sales.
